1. General care of necklaces and bracelets
Stones are cutting by nature; thus the continual rubbing wears out the wire on which they are strung. In order to preserve your jewel, it is better not to wear it to bed or in the shower but put it away carefully. Because of the wire, it is better to store your jewel by lying it flat in one or two circles.
Do not pull too hard on the jewel. It is better to take it off before doing sports or activities that may damage it. As far as necklaces strung on silk thread are concerned, it may sometimes be necessary to slightly reset the stones on the thread (if they are uncut stones) for an even distribution.
2. Metal decorations
Such decorations are made of tin or silver and nickel-plated brass: these metals are generally considered to be hypoallergenic. They should be protected from sweat, water, soaps and other chemicals. Their beauty will be preserved much better if not worn directly on the skin.
N.B. The metal used for these moderately-priced jewels will tarnish sooner or later depending on the treatment they receive. We recommend our pure silver or resistant alloy models to those who have developed a real love for such jewels . They are more expensive, but longer lasting. We also have many models with wooden decorations as wood will not tarnish. Specially recommended for men (models #36, 37, 48 and 50).
3. Cleansing and energizing stones
So that your stones better manifest their radiance and energetic potential, we recommend washing them under running water or placing them in a coarse salt bath (without water) to cleanse them of all negative energy. They can afterwards be placed in the sun for an hour or two to recharge them. This cleansing may be repeated every month to preserve a better luster or obtain better efficiency from your stones.
